Executive Biographies
Marc Brown - President
Marc is the President of Strategic Security Services and Rodger’s Police Patrol. Marc is also the Vice President of the Western Region for Command Security Corporation. Marc has been with the company both in a part-time and full-time capacity for almost 25 years. Marc graduated from California State University-Northridge with a B.S. degree and became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for a regional public accounting firm for 8 years and had his own accounting firm for 7 years before joining Strategic Security Services full-time, becoming President in 2000.
Larry Reid - Vice President of the Northern California Region
Larry Reid is Vice President of the Northern California Region. Larry has 7 years of contract security operations experience. Larry is also the Director of Operations of the Western Region for Command Security Corporation. He is the past chairman of the San Francisco Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security. He has considerable experience in the management of security operations in the high technology industry. He has long term relationships with many of the security professionals in the Silicon Valley, not only with our clients but within the security community as a whole. Larry served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he attended Mesa College in Grand Junction, Colorado and California State University - Hayward. He worked for 13 years at a large defense law firm working in the areas of trial preparation and investigative activities before joining Strategic Security Services.
Joanna Rangel - Human Resources Director
Joanna Rangel has been the Human Resources Director of Strategic Security Services for 9 years. Joanna is also the Director of Human Resources for the Western Region for Command Security Corporation. She has worked in human resources with diverse companies including an oil and gas company and a vitamin manufacturing company. Joanna is responsible for all of our employee relations, including payroll and benefits. She and her team are very focused on our employees and their needs and concerns. As a result of her team’s efforts, Strategic Security is known as the company to work for in San Diego and the Silicon Valley area of Northern California.
Spike Speicher - Business Development, Northern California
Spike has over 35 years of sales and marketing experience in diverse industries including computer hardware and software, on-line state lotteries and the contract security industry. He has managed large sales teams and is a certified sales and presentations trainer. He is well known in the contract security industry after 16 years with regional and national providers in the areas of business development, large and small account sales, marketing and operations. Spike is a member of our management team and is responsible for our sales and marketing efforts along with supporting existing clients with national and international situational needs. He is currently the Chapter Chairman of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the American Society of Industrial Security International.
Michael Fitzgibbons - Business Development, San Diego
Mike has over 16 years of business development experience in the private security industry. He also has 8 years of experience as a chief investigator at a large hospital and research foundation and 2 years in law enforcement. Early in his career, he was a commercial and installment loan officer at a major bank in San Diego, California. He has had an outstanding sales career with 3 major contract security companies and is currently responsible for the sales and marketing efforts in the San Diego marketplace for Strategic Security and Command Security Corporation.
